Google May Provide Free International Roaming For Android Users

Google is always looking for ways to boost the usage of its products among consumers globally. For that, the company is in talks with Hutchinson Whampoa to work on a deal that will eliminate the international roaming costs for Android phones.

The bigger plan is to offer no-cost international roaming to the Android users across select markets. Obviously the free international roaming project would start with the US for the citizens till the deal materializes with the leading operators in other countries as well. Google already has the Google Voice in its kitty but with free international roaming benefits, more users would be tempted to stick with Google Android instead of moving to other mobile platforms for they may turn out to be costly in the long run.
