Do you love raspberry vinegar as a salad dressing? It is indeed one of the best choices when it comes to vinaigrette dressings for salads! It also makes a great addition to dressings that are more complex.
You can easily make raspberry vinegar at home with just a few ingredients.
- 500 grams of raspberries
- 2 cups of sugar or a sweetener of your choice
- 2 cups of a good-quality distilled white vinegar
Instructions:
- The first step is to put your raspberries into a mixing bowl and pour the vinegar gently over them.
- Next, cover the bowl and set it aside in an area that is dry, cool and dark.
- Let it stand for one week. Make sure that you stir it once a while so that the vinegar completely covers the raspberries.
- After a week, you can strain the liquid and get rid of the raspberries.
- Take a saucepan, pour the infused vinegar into it and add the 2 cups of sugar into it.
- Let it boil and then lower the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remember to stir the mixture frequently to make sure that the sugar dissolves.
- Now, all you need to do is remove the pan from the heat and let the vinegar cool.
- When it has cooled, pour it into a bottle that has been sterilized well and seal it.
- You should store your homemade raspberry vinegar in a cool, dark and dry place so that it stays usable for up to 6 months.
- If you prefer, you can also make this vinegar without the sugar.
