Foreign languages can be tricky, and Lindsay Lohan found out the hard way that Arabic is a nuanced tongue. On Tuesday (April 21) the “Mean Girls” actress posted a
photo to Instagram of a phrase with the translation “You’re Beautiful”
written underneath. Unfortunately LiLo’s snapshot actually meant “You’re
a donkey” or “You’re an a**.”
Fans quickly began replying with posts like “Hahah that
casually means you’re an ass in Arabic. #classicmixup,” “It is means
you’re donkey @lindsaylohan not beautiful,” and, “Next time
@lindsaylohan, let me check b4 u post :-) Arabic words don’t mean ‘U are
beautiful’ but ‘u are a donkey.'” Whoops!
