Restructuring Affects 15 Percent of HTC's Workforce


















HTC has announced a major reorganization. In addition, approximately 15 percent of all employees of HTC will get their resignation. It announced HTC following again disappointing quarterly figures.
HTC wants to realize cost savings of 35 percent. The company wants to become more agile and less dependent on the smartphone market. While HTC will focus on new product groups.
 
In March this year, HTC has announced its first Virtual Reality glasses, HTC Vive. In addition, HTC unveiled the HTC Grip . To date, neither of these products are available. Revenue and profit from HTC is already quarters in a row under pressure. HTC has not only suffered from strong competition, but also knows always turn off fewer smartphones.
