Peugeot's 208 is their compact hatchback model, and it's been the bestseller amongst the other Peugeot models.
They've tweaked the exterior and lowered CO2 emissions, the exterior adds a wider front grill and two-tone headlights, masked in black and chrome. It all sits on new 16 and 17 inch (41 and 43 cm) alloy wheels. The engine has three power level choices. The 75 and 100 S&S are five-speed manual, and the 120 S&S is six-speed manual.
Besides new design features, the 208 has a new Active City Brake feature
designed specifically for city driving. The Active City Brake works
when driving under 20 mph (32 kph). It uses a short range sensor to
detect nearby vehicles. This sensor specifically detects cars driving
the same direction and stationary cars. In theory, it would sense the
car in next lane driving along side you, or the car in front of you
braking. It's designed to make an accident less serious when a driver
reacts slowly. There is also a rear-facing reverse camera as optional
add-on.
Another new feature is the MirrorScreen technology. This allows you to share your smartphone screen with your vehicle's display. This is perfect for drivers who use still prefer to use their phone's navigation or music streaming services.
