properties. In case you do not have peppermint oil, use your cup of
peppermint tea to relieve your leg fatigue. Simply pour the tea into a
tub of hot water and soak your legs.
5. Oil Rub:
Oil rubs
are effective in stimulating circulation to the feet, and thus relieving
stress. You can mix a drop each of chamomile oil, geranium oil, 2 drops
of lavender oil and 3 spoons of olive oil. Massage your feet well with
the mixed oils to get an instant relief.
6. Clove Oil:
Clove
oil is known to ease joint pains, tired feet and even headaches.
Massaging the oil on your feet relaxes the muscles and stimulates blood
circulation. A gentle clove oil massage a couple of times a day is
recommended for aching feet.
7. Ice Pack:
Ice packs over
the tired or sore muscles help in easing the swelling and pain by
soothing the nerves. Take crushed ice in a plastic bag or towel and
place it on the affected area. Massage the affected area with ice bag
using circular motions. It is sure to provide you relief.
8. Hot And Cold Treatment:
This
type of treatment is claimed to increase the blood flow to the feet
using the hot and cold effect. Use two buckets, one filled with hot
water and the other with cold water, for the therapy. Alternately, place
your legs in hot water for 3 minutes and then switch to cold water for a
minute. Repeat the process for three times. Hot and cold water
treatment is like a massage that dilates and constricts the blood
vessels. It helps you in getting away the pain.
9. Foot Exercise:
A
tired leg may not be ready for an exercise. But, a massage like
exercise with a tennis ball or a rolling pin is both refreshing and
soothing to the legs. Roll a pin or ball under your feet while you are
sitting. This does not disturb your activity. Instead, it relaxes the
muscles and joints of your legs. You can also try picking up small
objects with your toes.
10. Keep Legs Elevated:
Keeping
the feet elevated helps remove considerable stress from the legs. When
at home, ensure you sleep with your legs elevated on a pillow. Experts
warn that crossing the legs while sitting contributes to leg fatigue.
So, those suffering from tired legs can avoid it.
