Beauty Tips: Master The Slick Back Hair Trend

The slicked back hair, with or without a parting, was one of the hottest trends on the ramp, at the recently held fashion week. The smooth to a fault and swept-back gelled hair was seen, not just on Hollywood actresses, but, also on chic models showcasing designer outfits. Some of them tried the middle parting but most went all out with the complete backward swoop.

One of the best things about this hair trend is that it looks great not just with traditional Indian outfits like the lehenga choli, sari, kurtas but also adds a chic elegance to gowns, jumpsuits and other western ensembles.

Here are a few simples steps to create the look...
  1. Take a nourishing non-greasy oil or hair serum, spray on freshly shampooed damp hair.
  2. Work in some mousse and styling gel — begin from the root and cover hair to the tip.
  3. Use a dryer on your hair as you brush it, in order to smoothen it.
  4. Use a heat-protection spray and then iron your hair straight.
  5. Now style your hair into a pony, bun, braid or and updo.
