Pebble has launched its first round face smart watch, called Pebble Time Round. The Pebble Time Round can be said as a completely different product in comparison with the rest of the Pebble smart watch, it’s classic, subtle and not industrial epitomize as the current Pebble line.
This Round Pebble Watch is said only 7.5mm thick – can be one of the thinnest SmartWatch of current time. The Pebble Time Round back rim is made of metal, clock dial size 38.5mm and weighs only 28g but the screen part is quite small while side rim around the screen little larger.
We will have two versions of the Pebble Time Round for men and women. Pebble said both smartwatches remains the same 38.5mm screen size, the difference in size only to the strap. Accordingly, it will be available in a variety of strap sizes and designs.
The strap options include 20mm and 14mm while users can also pick a finish including Black, Silver, or a special-edition Rose Gold which will be exclusive to the 14mm strap size. There are also metal and leather strap options which can be easily replaced. In terms of features, Pebble Time Round quite thin and looks simple, but it remains fully Pebble Time features.
The Pebble Time Round still uses e-paper color display. In addition, it has an additional microphone to allow you to respond to messages and other notifications by voice. On Android, this feature will work nearly with all the app as SMS, Hangouts, Gmail, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, even with the iOS as well. The Pebble said the device is not fully waterproof; and battery life around 2 days not the whole week as the previous Pebble series.
However, Pebble Time Round supports a quick charging technology which is said to just a 15-minute charge can offer a one day usage time. The Pebble Time Round is now available for pre-order through the online retail shop Amazon; this thin Smartwatch priced at $249.99 and will be delivered on November 10/2015.
