“The Martian” Stays On Top While “Pan” Plummets!

Racking up another stellar weekend (pun intended), “The Martian” was once again the top dog at the box office thanks to its $37 million in ticket sales. Meanwhile, “Hotel Transylvania” managed to bring in $20.3 million to score the second place spot followed by a disappointing opening for “Pan” at just $15.5 million (the film’s budget was $150 million).

And rounding out the top ten were “The Intern” ($8.7), “Sicario” ($7.4), “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” ($5.3), “The Walk” ($3.7), “Black Mass” ($3.1), “Everest” ($3.0) and “The Visit” ($2.4).
