WhatsApp has released an update to its eponymous iOS app. The new version includes support for the new 3D Touch Apple iPhone and iPhone 6S 6S Plus.
WhatsApp has released an update for the iOS version of WhatsApp. The new version includes 3D Touch support that can be used on the new Apple iPhone 6S and Apple iPhone 6S Plus. This makes it possible to open more quickly receive files such as photos, videos or audio or open links to websites by using 'peek and pop'.
The new features can only be used on the new Apple iPhone and Apple iPhone 6S 6S Plus as these handsets currently the only smartphones from Apple with a '3D Touchscreen.
Beta testers of WhatsApp also appear to be able to use a "quick reply" feature in the new version WhatsApp. This feature is not yet available to the general public, but will be activated soon expected to be in WhatsApp. The function is still hidden in the app and visible only to beta testers.
The new version of WhatsApp is available for download from the Apple App Store.
