DiCaprio, De Niro and Scorsese each made $13M for this ad

A trailer for “The Audition,” the Martin Scorsese-directed short film that cost $70 million to make for new Macau casino Studio City, has arrived. In September, Page Six reported that Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro earned $13 million each for two days’ work on the ad. Although Pitt isn’t in this spot, it appears his character may surface closer to the opening date of the casino later this year.

The project, written by “Boardwalk Empire” creator Terence Winter, was completed for moguls Lawrence Ho and James Packer. The entire casino development, which reportedly cost a whopping $2.3 billion, will have a “cinematic theme,” said Melco Crown Entertainment. “The Audition” will be released in full later this year.
