Innovative Bradley watch lets you tell the time by touch

A new timepiece being sold by style site Dezeen lets blind users tell the time by touch alone.
The Bradley watch, created by US design company E-one, uses a magnet and two ball bearings that rotate around the watch face.

Constructed from titanium, the watch has no cover so the wearer can touch the raised hour markings as well as the ball bearings to determine the time.

"We never would have hit on this idea of using ball bearings to tell time if we hadn’t been solving the problem of designing a watch for the visually impaired," said lead designer at Eone David Zacher.
Originally the benefactor of a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, the Bradley has been nominated for a Design Museum Design of the Year award.

It's available to pre-order now from the Dezeen Watch Store for the reduced price of £135 until it goes on general sale on June 30. Shipping is expected to take place on July 14.
