Lionel Messi scored a brilliant individual goal to bring Argentina out of their slumber and beat Bosnia 2-1 in the Balkan nation's first appearance at the World Cup finals on Sunday.
Bosnia gave away the fastest own goal in World Cup history after two minutes and eight seconds, but Argentina then struggled until Messi's second half goal.
Substitute Vedad Ibisevic scored a late goal to set up a nervous end to the Group F clash in Rio's Maracana stadium.
