Google Nexus 6 benchmarked?

Nexus 6 rumours have been on the rise lately with many expecting Google to unveil its next Nexus smartphone before Apple’s iPhone 6. Details about Motorola Shamu appeared on benchmarking website GFXBench. Shamu is thought to be the codename of the next Google Nexus device.

According to the test, the Shamu has power on par with the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Sony Xperia Z2 and the HTC One (M8) – at least in terms of graphics. The performance has led to experts suggesting that the Nexus 6 will come with a 1080p display and a Snapdragon 801 chipset. That seems pretty par for the course as far as high-end smartphones are concerned these days.

Earlier rumours have suggested that the smartphone (and we’re using phone very loosely here) will come with a 5.9-inch screen. It’s also said that the smartphone will come with a fingerprint scanner.
The Nexus 6 is expected to become available in November, but it may be unveiled earlier than that.
It’s possible it will be used to usher in Google’s Android L operating system
