HTC Volantis details leaked

Turns out, HTC may well be able to dabble back into the tablet market. And if the rumours are true, HTC’s next tablet could be an absolute stonker.

Dubbed the HTC Volantis, the HTC tablet is said to feature a silver aluminium unibody with some seriously high-end hardware inside. The latest details were published by serial leaker Evan Blass via his Twitter account @evleaks.

According to @evleaks, the HTC Volantis will be powered by a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, come with 5GB of DDR3 RAM, 64GB of internal storage and an eight megapixel rear-facing camera.
If true, that is some serious kit. Other specs rumoured include an 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2,560x1,600 pixels.

It’s also worth noting that the HTC Volantis is the first smartphone or tablet that will take advantage of the real benefit of 64-bit processors – not being limited to 4GB of RAM. Obviously, all these are rumours and may or may not turn out to be correct. However, we’ll let you know either way as soon as we find out.
