Are you infected by Superfish virus/Malware

You can easily check if you have been affected. Head over to this link. A simple message will show informing you if your computer has been infected or if it is safe. The following should appear:


If you have been infected, don’t worry you can secure your computer in by following the steps bellow:

1. Click the Windows Start button located on the left corner of your screen
2. Hit the Search box
3. Type: uninstall program
4. Launch uninstall program
5. Look for “Superfish Inc VisualDiscovery”
6. Right-click on Superfish Inc VisualDiscovery
7. select Uninstall
8. If prompted for administrator password, enter or provide confirmation
9. Once done, we have to remove the certificates.
10. Click the Windows Start button
11. Type certmgr.msc into the Search box
12. Click the certmgr.msc Program to launch it
13. If prompted for administrator password, enter the password or provide confirmation
14. Click on Trusted Root Certification Authorities
15. Open Certificates
16. Look for certificates mentioning Superfish Inc.
17. Right-click on any Superfish Inc certificates and delete
18. Restart your browser and return to this page to see you are safe
