New Pebble Time Smartwatch battery life better than Apple Watch

New model is the first Pebble with a color display. Like the other Pebble models, it’s not using an OLED panel. It’s e-paper, and that’s what allows Pebble Time to run for an entire week on a single charge. Not only will it run a heck of a lot longer than the Apple Watch, but it’s also slimmer by more than a millimeter.

Based on what’s happened so far on Kickstarter, it looks like geeks everywhere have been chomping at the bit for a full-color smartwatch with respectable battery life. The 10,001 early bird watches disappeared in the blink of an eye. In just under an hour, Pebble Time had already secured more than $2 million in pledges.

There’s still time to grab a Pebble Time at a discount, but you’ll have to move quickly. Single watches are still available at the $179 level, and you can snag in multiples at a discount, too. Don’t dawdle, though, or you’ll wind up waiting for the retail launch and shelling out the full $199.
