He took blues guitar to a new level over the course of his long and successful career and now B.B. King has tragically passed away. According to multiple reports, the 89-year-old musician had been hospitalized earlier this month for discolored urine and lack of appetite and while in doctor’s care he suffered a minor heart attack.
However, King was believed to be healthy enough to return to his Las Vegas home and he died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday (May 14). He won 15 Grammy Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor as well as the President Medal of Freedom and he will be greatly missed.
