Microsoft Band to Go on Sale in UK

Microsoft may be anticipating the arrival of the Apple Watch next month with its latest move: It has just started selling its wearable Microsoft Band overseas in the UK. The Band is available via UK web order on common sites like Amazon, Best Buy and Target. However, more down-to-earth UK stores like Dixons, Harrods, O2 and Curry’s PC World all plan on carrying physical stock of the Bands in their stores.

The U.S. price remains at $200, The UK versions of the Band will go on sale for £170 starting on April 15th. You may know this as just a few days after the Apple Watch goes up for preorder, and more than a week before people can walk into an Apple store and buy one immediately. It certainly seems that Microsoft may be worried about what consumers are going to want to put on their arms, and are structuring the deal to tip the scales a little in favor of the Microsoft Band if people run any comparisons.
