Angelina Jolie Slams UN Security Council

Always willing to speak up for the disenfranchised, Angelina Jolie attended the United Nations Security Council Meetings on Middle East and Syria at UN Headquarters in New York City today (April 24). Looking lovely as usual, the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” starlet talked about the nearly four million Syrians that have fled the four-year conflict into neighboring countries.

Special Envoy Jolie declared, "We cannot look at Syria, and the evil that has arisen from the ashes of indecision, and think this is not the lowest point in the world's inability to protect and defend the innocent. We are standing by in Syria. It is sickening to see thousands of refugees drowning on the doorstep of the world's wealthiest continent. No one risks the lives of their children in this way except out of utter desperation."
