Homemade Raspberry Vinegar

Do you love raspberry vinegar as a salad dressing? It is indeed one of the best choices when it comes to vinaigrette dressings for salads! It also makes a great addition to dressings that are more complex.

You can easily make raspberry vinegar at home with just a few ingredients.
  • 500 grams of raspberries
  • 2 cups of sugar or a sweetener of your choice
  • 2 cups of a good-quality distilled white vinegar

Instructions:

  1. The first step is to put your raspberries into a mixing bowl and pour the vinegar gently over them.
  2. Next, cover the bowl and set it aside in an area that is dry, cool and dark.
  3. Let it stand for one week. Make sure that you stir it once a while so that the vinegar completely covers the raspberries.
  4. After a week, you can strain the liquid and get rid of the raspberries.
  5. Take a saucepan, pour the infused vinegar into it and add the 2 cups of sugar into it.
  6. Let it boil and then lower the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Remember to stir the mixture frequently to make sure that the sugar dissolves.
  8. Now, all you need to do is remove the pan from the heat and let the vinegar cool.
  9. When it has cooled, pour it into a bottle that has been sterilized well and seal it.
  10. You should store your homemade raspberry vinegar in a cool, dark and dry place so that it stays usable for up to 6 months.
  11. If you prefer, you can also make this vinegar without the sugar.
As you can see, it is not hard to make raspberry vinegar at home. All you need is fresh organic raspberries and a few minutes to make this beautiful ruby-red vinegar!
