Hulu Inks $130M Deal with “Seinfeld”

It’s been 17 years since the beloved comedy “Seinfeld” aired its final episode and yet it’s still one of the most in-demand shows of all time. On Wednesday (April 29) the online streaming service Hulu struck a deal with the “show about nothing,” paying $700,000 per episode ($130 million) for the rights to add the series to its already stellar lineup.

“Seinfeld” stars Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, George Alexander and Michael Richards and ran for nine consecutive seasons. The $130 million price tag is nearly twice what Netflix paid to secure “Friends.”
