Beauty Tips: How To Repair Damaged Hair After Colouring

Dyeing your hair in different colours might be fun, but it eventually takes a toll on the quality of your hair. Here are some tips for damage control.

Don't Shampoo Your Hair More Than Twice a Week
  • The scalp naturally produces oils which protect and nourish the hair, so be sure to not shampoo it more than twice a week.
Avoid Hair Dryers
  • This can be a difficult habit to break, but you should dry your hair naturally. If you have to use a heating device, make sure it's on low settings.
Brush With An Appropriate Comb
  • Use a wide-toothed comb and only brush your hair once it is completely dry. If you untangle it while it is wet, you may risk breakage.
Deep Condition Your Hair
  • After you wash your hair with shampoo, apply conditioner to it and wear a shower cap. Leave the conditioner on for 30 minutes and then wash with cold water.
Apply a Hair Mask
  • There are a variety of 'hair masks' that you can make with eggs, milk, honey or bananas to improve the quality of your hair.
