“Ant-Man” Scores Second Weekend at #1

Despite the relatively low attendance at movie theaters across the nation this past weekend, “Ant-Man” still managed to rake in enough ticket sales to remain in the top spot. The Paul Rudd flick landed $24.8 million, putting it just ahead of Adam Sandler’s opener “Pixels,” which earned a respectable $24 million.

Coming in at number three, with a weekend take of $22.1 million, was “Minions,” followed by “Trainwreck” ($17.3 million) and “Southpaw” ($16.5 million). “Paper Towns,” “Inside Out,” “Jurassic World,” “Mr. Holmes” and “Terminator: Genisys” comprised the remainder of the Top 10 movies at the weekend box office.
