Emile Hirsch Sentenced to 15 Days in Jail

Back in January, he assaulted Paramount executive, Daniele Bernfeld, during the Sundance Film Festival and now Emile Hirsch is paying the price. According to his plea deal "The Into the Wild" actor's punishment includes 15 days in jail, 50 hours of community service, and $4,750 in fines.

Bernfeld, who did not attend the sentencing said, “I was subjected to a violent and unprovoked attack by a complete stranger,” and while Hirsch was choking her, “I thought I was going to die.”
Hirsch said during his sentencing, “It’s been seven months now and I feel like I’ve grown a lot in that time.”
