He’s played a variety of different characters throughout his successful career and now Matt Damon is tackling the story of an abandoned astronaut in “The Martian,” slated to hit theaters on October 2nd.
20th Century Fox just unleashed a new promo clip for the Ridley Scott project, which also stars Kristen Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Michael Pena, Kate Mara and Jeff Daniels.
Per the synopsis, “During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.”
