Irritable Bowel Syndrome:
The symptoms for this could be anything from pain, constipation and bouts of diarrhoea. A common bowel disorder known as IBS may cause your stomach to bloat. Though there's no cure for IBS, cutting down on cereal fibres may ease symptoms by 30 to 40 per cent.
Flatulence:
If you've been passing a lot of wind, it could be another form of stomach bloating. Though there is no medical definition of excessive flatulence, but if it bothers you a lot, see a doctor right away. Also try to cut on foods that may result to this. Beans, pulses, broccoli, cabbage, prunes and apples are some foods that you must restrict having.
Hormonal Fluctuations:
Another reason for bloated stomach could be due to hormonal fluctuations. It could be anything from being in your premenstrual stages or early stages of pregnancy. Though it is advised not to go on high medical doses during this time, but exercising for half an hour daily will keep you fit and may help reduce bloating.
Ovarian Cancer:
If your bloating is persistent and you've been experiencing abdominal pain, it could be because of ovarian cancer. The symptoms of this could be feeling tired all the time. If you feel difficulty in eating and other urinary symptoms — best see a doctor immediately.
